AN INDIVIDUAL WHO CAN SHOW THAT THEY MEET THE CONDITIONS LISTED BELOW, AFTER MAKING APPLICATION FOR THE RESIDENTIAL TRAINING PROGRAM, WILL BE AFFORDED AN ORAL INTERVIEW BY THE CANTON ELECTRICAL J.A.T.C. RESIDENTAL SUB-COMMITTEE.
Applicants must personally pick up the application. The Canton Electrical Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee (JATC) will accept applications for trainees from 8:00AM-11:30AM and from 12:30PM-4:30PM Monday through Friday during our regular business hours.
Applicants shall mail or hand deliver the following information, along with their application, so that they will be in the office of the CANTON ELECTRICAL JOINT APPRENTICESHIP & TRAINING COMMITTEE (J.A.T.C.), 3855 Wales Ave NW, Massillon, OH 44646 by 30 days after you picked up your application.
To meet the minimum qualification for the Residential Training Program, applicants must:
A. Be a minimum of 18 years of age by July 1st, 2011
B. Be at least a high school graduate, or have a GED, or have a two-year Associate Degree or higher by July 1st, 2011.
C. Provide an official transcript for high school and post high school education and training. All GED records must be submitted if applicable.
D. Present evidence that they possess a valid driver's license.
E. Provide three letters of recommendation.
F. Complete applicants may be administered a Tech Math test by the JATC
G. Applicants selected from the pool of interviewed applicants are required to take a physical examination and drug test as provided by the JATC.
