Canton JATC Selection Procedure

Canton JATC Selection Procedure

After an application is made, the applicant will take an aptitude test. Testing is done usually two to four times per year. After the applicant recieves a qualifying score, they are then interviewed. Applicants are chosen as follows:

1. The JATC conducts interviews as needed all year long.

2. Each applicant interviewed is given a number grade resulting from his or her interview score.

3. This number grade (your score) is retained for a period of 24 months. The scores are used to rank each applicant on the list from which we select our apprentice classes.

4. The JATC will be selecting our graduating class of 2017 in June of 2012

5. This class will start to work in July of 2012, and will begin attending classes in September of 2012.

6. No further action will be taken until we conclude our June 2012 interviews. At that time a final ranking will be conducted, and our graduating class of 2017 will be selected. The selection will be in descending order with the highest score selected first. The number selected for the class will be dependent upon the manpower needs at that time.

7. All candidates that were granted interviews will be notified in June of 2012 by letter as to their results in the ranking.
